All classes enjoy 2 hours of PE a week. Our PE teacher is in school three days a week and works with older classes. Class teachers also plan and deliver physical education. Your child could have PE any of day of the week. We are currently not changing for PE in school (unless swimming) however we are working on a new policy regarding PE kits and will let you know what is needed by the October holiday. We try use our outdoor astro space all year for PE and all classes visit the gym hall throughout the week.
In January we plan to open our ‘studio’ where we can offer dance, ‘brain gym’, stretching and sensory circuits. Watch this space!
All classes are committed to doing a ‘regular ramble’ (sometimes called the daily mile) so keep those waterproofs handy!
Our Sports and Outdoors team offer P4 and P5 classes curricular swimming lessons– we will write to you if your child’s class is to attend.
