The group are all very excited and enthusiastic about being selected to represent their class. They are looking forward to sharing messages at assembly, gathering the views of others and working together to make changes around the school.

Our Equalities group had our second meeting where we discussed the following agenda;
- We want to raise awareness of equalities and diversity across the school
- We want to include “everyone when playing outside” “sometimes we fall out then get back together” (Penny P4)
- We watched an Education Scotland video explaining equalities and diversity “the video was helpful’ (Igor P5)
- We looked at some example surveys and will develop one for our school to gather evidence of the children’s understanding of equalities
- We will write a letter to Mrs Favier to campaign for ‘Elmer Day’ to be celebrated in school (May 2026)
