Agenda:
– Stocktake keyboards
– Create material to share across the school about ‘airdropping’
– Any current issues
Minutes:
– 10 keyboards – Digital Leaders think that these keyboards should be available to classes to use during lessons
– Children prepared and presented a short podcast to share across the school regarding appropriate use of airdropping
– Children keep changing their iPad passwords and forgetting what they are  
Action Plan:
– Create a resource to support classes learning about ‘cyber bullying’
– Ask class teachers to talk to the children about changing their iPad passwords
– Share Podcast with classes

Digital Leader iPad Focus Group Results

Our Digital Leaders organised and led an iPad focus group to find out how and when iPads best support learning in class. Find the results in our slideshow below.

Minutes:
1) Most children were present today and keen to get started in their new role

2) Ms Edwards talk about the Digital Schools Awards and our plans to use technology supporting pupils to learn, be creating and stay safe online.

3) The Digital Leaders, raised the following:
They would like accessibility to keyboards, when using the iPads.
Several P6 iPads are asking for Apple ID’s for an update.
Some children are using the ‘airdrop’ function in class, for non-educational purposes.
They feel that work in class around ‘cyber bullying’ would be beneficial.


Ms Edwards raised:
– Ms Edwards showed the Digital Leaders the new trolley for storing the shared iPads. The Digital Leaders emailed Mrs Favier a request, for a trolley, for moving the shared iPads around the school..
– Ms Edwards asked the children how often they use their iPads in class. The children said they use their iPads every day, but did not know how often other classes used their iPads. Some said that they would like to able to take their iPads home.
Action Plan:
– Stocktake keyboards in the school.
– P6 Digital Leaders support, in class, with updates and Apple IDs.
– Create a resource to discourage airdropping during lessons.
– Look at ‘cyber bullying’ resources for classes to explore
– Set up the new school system for using shared iPads
– Survey they use of iPad usage in the school
