MEETING 5 – 6.2.26 Our trip to Topping & Co
The Library Improvement Pupil Leadership travelled to Topping & Co to select books for their class libraries. We loved all the little reading nooks and especially the ladders! There were so many books to choose from and lots of spaces to sit and enjoy reading. The Topping’s staff said, ‘What absolutely LOVELY children. All of them were a delight!’
The library leadership group began to distribute some of the new reading material to classes today. Watch this space though – there are many more books coming your way!
MEETING 4 – 26/1/2026
Here we discussed our trip to Topping & Co to purchase new reading books for our class libraries. We decided we should ask each class for ideas about what kind of books they would like in their libraries. We each agreed to complete a short questionnaire with our own class to ensure their views were considered when selecting new books.

MEETING 3 – 18/12/2025
At our third meeting we divided into three small groups and asked each class which storage unit they would like to order for their new class library.
MEETING 2 – 12/11/2025
At our second meeting we looked at different storage unit options and made a plan for how we are going to ask each class which storage unit they would like.
MEETING 1 – 04/11/2025
At our first meeting, we got to meet the other members of the group. Our group is made up of Meadow, Zach, Louise, Millie, Binte, Harper, Ariana, Aria and Nevada.
We also discussed the purpose of our group which is to make every class library amazing! We plan to:
- get new storage units for each classroom
- buy new books for each classroom
